Men’s Aid welcome the Irish Government’s launch of the ‘Third National Strategy on Domestic, Sexual and Gender-based Violence’.

We recognize that the harm caused by violence against any person within our community is a harm that extends towards all of our community.

We stand ready and willing to support all victims who look to us to help them feel safe, supported and protected.

We intend to play our part to prevent such crimes and harm by engaging closely with all our civil society partners and state stakeholders where appropriate.

We will continue to support Male victims to report to An Garda Síochána and advocate for the victim to access available State support services.

Men’s Aid, it’s staff, board members and support network are here to help victims of domestic, sexual and gender-based violence to find safety and protection.

Kathrina Bentley, CEO said “In 2021 we supported approx. 8,000 contacts to our domestic violence service, a volume that is growing in 2022. This strategy will help empower and support any person experiencing an abusive partner and we look forward to implementing the actions with our domestic violence partners”.
