Owen Connolly


I am a consultant psychologist and marriage and family therapist in private practice in Stillorgan, Co. Dublin. I have practised in the USA, Lebanon and the UK, now full-time in Ireland. I have over 50,000 client hours as a Counsellor.

I have a special interest in seeing those who have suffered stress and trauma in their lives coming to a better understanding of their value and their unique ability to recover and live happy and fulfilled lives.

I am married to Claire and we live in Dublin.

Author of the best selling book on the Father’s role as a parent: ‘Standing on the Shoulders of Giants’.
Co-author of ‘Parenting in the Millenium’.

Broadcaster and regular contributor to ‘TV Now’ magazine, ‘Ask the expert’ section, with regular contributions in the Irish Independent/Herald/Sunday World & Irish Times on a huge range of family related topics.
